Lumbama buried

Former Central Province Permanent Secretary, Denny Lumbama, has been buried.


Hundreds of mourners from around the country travelled to Kabwe to pay tribute to Mr Lumbama for his distinguish service to the country.


Mr Lumbama, 49, died on Friday, January 10, 2014, after a short illness.


He is survived by a wife and a child.


The lat Lumbama served as Permanent Secretary in the MMD regime under Presidents Levy Mwanawasa and Rupiah Banda from 2002 to 2011.


Before that, he was a school head teacher at Chipembi Girls Secondary School and prior to his death, he was a part time Lecturer at Nkurumah University.


Attending his burial was former Secretary to the Cabinet, Joshua Kanganja, Central Province Permanent Secretary, Edwidge Mutale, former Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and District Commissioners in the MMD regime.


Mourners have described the deceased Permanent Secretary as a good man with good deals.
