Former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba says he will not waste his time and breathe to respond to attacks by junior party members in the ruling Patriotic Front (PF) such as Davies Mwila and Robert Chikwelete.

Mr. Mwila, who is also PF chairperson for labour and social security has advised Mr. Mwamba to leave the party in peace rather than cause confusion, while Mr. Chikwelete has be quoted describing Mr. Mwamba as indiscipline.

But Mr. Mwamba, who is also Kasama PF Member of Parliament, has told Qfm in a telephone interview that he will not waste time responding to Mr. Mwila, whom he has described as a job seeker.

He says both Mr Mwila and Mr. Chikwelete are nobodies in the ruling PF.

Mr. Mwamba says the two have possibly been hired to launch attacks on him using the media as they have done.

Asked whether he has any intentions of leaving the ruling PF to join another political party or stand as an independent candidate in the event a by-election arises, Mr. Mwamba declined to comment on the issue but said he can probably respond on such an issue in 2014.

And Mwamba has challenged people criticizing him for resigning his government position and downplaying his value to the PF to ask genuine people what what they think his value to the ruling PF is.
