The Grand Coalition, championing the immediate release of the final constitution has vowed to push for the releases of the final draft constitution before 31st December, as promised by Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba.

Grand Coalition interim Spokesperson, MacDonald Chipenzi has told QFM News in an interview that the coalition is making desperate measures to ensure that the Patriotic Front (PF) government gives the people what belongs to them.

Mr. Chipenzi says the Ministerial Statement given to parliament by Mr. Kabimba over the constitution was as a result of the pressure by the coalition.

He adds that the coalition’s advocacy is bearing fruits as evidenced by the coming on board of the student union movement who feel the urgent need to have a new constitution.

Mr. Chipenzi, who is also Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP), has since assured the people of Zambia that the coalition will not rest until government honors its promise to release the document by 31st December, 2013.
