The Church Mother Bodies have condemned Churches purportedly promoting Homosexuality in the context of Human Rights in the Draft Constitution.
Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza says it is unfortunate that some Christian organizations have sunk so low as to seek to promote Human Rights in the context of allowing Homosexuality and Gay Rights to be permitted in the country.
Reverend Mwanza says such churches should not be allowed to achieve their objectives noting that homosexuality is illegal under the laws of Zambia.
He says EFZ strongly condemns such practices as they are a major compromise and diversion of the moral values.
Reverend Mwanza states that EFZ will continue standing firm against the promotion of Gay Rights in the country.
And the Council Churches in Zambia (CCZ) says Gay Rights should not be allowed in Zambia.
CCZ General Secretary Susana Matale has told Qnews in a separate interview that sex is between male and female in a marriage context hence Homosexuality should not be tolerated.
She adds that the values and principles of Christians totally disagree with such sentiments.
