Full Time: Zambia 1 – 0 Burundi ( Festus Mbewe 64′) – FAZ

The Chipolopolo Boys have beaten Burundi 1 nil in their second group B match of the on-going Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) senior challenge cup.

Strike Festus Mbewe scored the only important goal for Zambia in the 64 minute in a game that was played at Machakos Stadium in Nairobi.

This is the first win for Coach Patrice Beaumelle in a five game roll since taking over from former coach Herve Renard in October this year.

Zambia played out a 1 – 1 draw against Tanzania in their opening group match of the GOtv CECAFA Senior Challenge cup played on a muddy pitch at Machakos Stadium last Thursday.

The CECAFA senior challenge cup tournament is being hosted by Kenya.
