Zambia coach Patrick Beaumelle vows win over Burundi in Sunday’s penultimate Cecefa Cecafa Cup Group B game in Nairobi.

In their opening game against Tanzania at a slippery Machakos Stadium on Thursday, Chipolopolo were held to a 1-all draw.

Beaumelle has not won any game since taking over as coach in October and will be under pressure to get to winning ways.
“We did not play so badly in the opening match, but we need to beat Burundi on Sunday,” the Frenchman told MTNFootball.com at the Hill Park Hotel on Saturday morning.
Beaumelle said although Burundi is a good team, they have to be cautious and also take their chances.
“It is good some of my players who have been nursing knocks after the first game are much better,” he said.
Stars Felix Katongo, Jimmy Chisenga and Kondwani Mtonga sustained injuries in Zambia’s tournament opener against the Kilimanjaro Stars.
Zambia, who won the 2006 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup held in Ethiopia, will be eager to qualify for the knock out stage but will first have to overcome Burundi and Somalia.

Burundi lead Group B on three points following their opening day 2-0 win over bottom placed Somalia on Thursday.

Zambia and Tanzania are tied on one point each.
