Lands Minister, Harry Kalaba, says his ministry is working on the revision of the Customary Land Act in order to pave way for transparency in the issuance of customary land by traditional leaders.

Mr. Kalaba says government has seen it fit to review the customary land Act in order to help resolve illegal land dealings and sale of customary land by traditional leaders.

Mr. Kalaba says government remains committed to ensuring that there is transparency in the allocation of the customary land in the country in order to avoid land disputes.

He says as soon as the Customary Land Bill is ready, it will be sent to parliament for necessary approval so that the loopholes in the current ACT are sealed.

Central Province Minister Obvious Mwaliteta has observed the need to review the customary land Act to help resolve illegal land dealings and sale of customary land.
