Secretary to Cabinet Rowland Msiska has advised unions in the country not discuss items that are on the negotiation table in the collective bargaining.

This follows the recent observation by the Zambia Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU) that the 2014 collective bargaining will be of no use if the government maintains its position on the wage and employment freeze prescribed in the 2014 national budget.

Dr. Msiska however, says matters that are before the negotiation table must not be discussed in public when the negotiations process which is done under the law is in progression.

Dr. Msiska has disclosed to Qfm in an interview that the government has already written to the unions on the commencement of the collective bargaining process.
