Lusaka DC refutes claims of funding PF youths

Ashwell Kampengele
Lusaka District Commissioner Ashel Kampengele has refuted accusations by Patriotic Front PF Lusaka District Interim secretary Julius Komaki that he is one of the party officials that funded the group of youths that hacked the rival group resulting in the death of one person and leaving several others injured.

Mr. Kampengele who served as PF Lusaka District Chairperson before his appointment as District Commissioner says it is against the party ethics for any member of the Central Committee to meet members of any party structure without authorization.

He says the only person mandated to meet with any Party official without authorization is the President and the Party Secretary General.

He says it is unfortunate that the current situation has allowed an-authorized members to meet with other party structures which has resulted in intraparty fights.

He says not surprised that he has been named as one of the party officials behind the violence in the ruling party stating that familiarity breeds contempt.

Mr. Kampengele says his wish is for peace and unity to reign in the PF so that concentration can shift back to developing the country.
