A lone masked man armed with a pistol who is still being pursued by Police broke into Zuli lodge around 01:00 hours in Magrimond area of Kalomo and threatened a South African national who was booked in one of the rooms with her female companion and threatened the duo with his gun before raping the woman and later stealing various assorted items from them.
The named raped victim aged 30 is from Francistown house number 10251, Botswana.
And in another break in at E and N lodge around 03.00 hours, Aston Shaputu of Libala township of Lusaka was attacked by what police suspect to be the same masked man armed with an iron bar and a pistol and robbed him of K2,500 cash and got away with a laptop valued at K4,000.
Shaputu sustained bruises on the knees during the attack.
Later on in the same night, the same suspect was later reported to have attempted to break into Bulyo Bwangu of Kalomo but his attempt was thwarted by alert security guards before he could gain entry into the premises.
Southern province police commissioner, Charity Katanga confirmed all the three incidents to Zanis saying no arrest has been made.
She has appealed to members of the public to assist the Police with the search for the suspect.
