Alliance for Better Zambia (ABZ) president Frank Bwalya has observed that there is nothing new about the Zambia Police’s decision to the United Party for National Development (UPND) to hold a public rally last Sunday.

Fr. Bwalya notes that the Police should not even be commended for the permit it granted the UNPD to hold a public rally as the law provides for people in the country to only notify them about their intentions to hold a political public gathering and not to seek permission.

Fr. Bwalya says the freedoms and rights that people want to enjoy in the country are God given and the police should not be praised for making the enjoyment of such rights possible.

Fr. Bwalya in an interview with QFM News says police are supposed to allow people enjoy their rights and freedoms unconditionally.
