MMD president Nevers Mumba has declared that the battle for the Mansa central seat in 22nd November’s by-election will be do or die for the former ruling party.

Dr. Nevers has told Qfm News that the party has done its home work and that the setting of the election date by the Electoral Commission of Zambia has only given the party the zeal.

Dr. Mumba explains that there is no need for the party to stress because people have realized that they have been cheated.

He says the MMD will stand firm and continue speaking to the people on the most important issues affecting the nation.

And opposition the United Party for National Development (UPND) has also declared interest to contest the Mansa central by-election.

Party deputy Secretary General Kuchunga Simusamba has told Qfm News that the party will soon begin the process of identifying a candidate to field in the by-election.

Meanwhile the National Restoration party (NAREP) says it will not give up participating in by-elections despite not winning any of the by-elections it has contested.

NAREP National Secretary Reverend Jervan Kamanga says NAREP is party that wants to exercise their right to participate in all elections.
