MISA hails issuance of QFM nationwide license

Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Zambia has hailed government’s move to grant radio QFM a nationwide broadcasting license.

Re-elected MISA Zambia Chairperson Nalumino Nalumino has told Qfm News that the radio station deserves the nationwide license owing to its professionalism in coverage of news events.

Mr. Nalumino says the MISA Zambia is overwhelmed with the step that government has taken to recognize the good works of radio QFM.

He states that MISA Zambia has been waiting and advocating for media institutions that have the capacity to disseminate information professionally to be given nationwide broadcasting licenses.

Mr Nalumino has since encouraged QFM to keep up with the good and professional way of reporting without being biased.

The MISA Zambia Chairperson has further encouraged other broadcasting stations not to feel discouraged for not being granted nationwide broadcasting licenses but be patient.

Mr.Nalumino however notes that all media institutions have the capacity To broadcast nationwide.

Yesterday Information and broadcasting permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba announced that government has given radio Qfm a national coverage license.

And radio QFM Director Moses Nyama has commended government for being Considerate of the station.

Mr.Nyama says the nationwide broadcasting license has been long overdue adding that the team at the station is ready to deliver to the expectations of the Zambian people.
