No place to hide for corrupt Police officers – Libongani

Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani is saddened by the incident in which some Police officers from the Traffic section in Chipata, Eastern province are alleged to have involved themselves in corrupt activities.

Ms Libongani in a statement issued to QFM News says she will not allow a situation where criminally minded officers deliberately engage in crime and unprofessional conduct in order to tarnish the image of the Zambia Police service.

She adds that the Police service will not tire in ridding itself of such officers in order to promote a corruption free Police service.

The Inspector General of Police has since directed all supervising officers to closely supervise and monitor all officers under their charge in order to maintain professional conduct among the officers and identify bad eggs which should be gotten rid of.

Ms Libongani has further advised Police officers to work professionally and be content with their earnings, advising those who are not satisfied with what they are earning to resign and seek employment elsewhere.
