ELEVEN more suspects have been arrested in connection with the hacking to death of former Wusakile Member of Parliament (MP) Barnabas Chella in Kitwe last week.

Acting Copperbelt police Commissioner Joyce Kasosa confirmed that 11 more people, among them two women were arrested in connection with Mr Chella’s death.
Ms Kasosa said the 11 were arrested in Wusakile Township last weekend, bringing the total number of those arrested to 17.
Three suspects were currently admitted to Kitwe Central Hospital under guard.
Ms Kasosa, however, could not name the suspects as police were still carrying out investigations. The suspects had not yet been charged.
Mr Chella, 60, died after being axed by some people over a land dispute at his farm in Mfubu ranch area.
Copperbelt minister Mwenya Musenge has described Mr Chella as a hardworking man who would be missed by many.
In a speech read for him by Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Stanford Mschili during burial yesterday, Mr Musenge said the late Mr Chella was a dedicated man in whatever he was doing.
