Non governmental Organization Advocating for good governance and Justice, Zambian Voice has challenged the Patriotic Front (PF) government to explain to the nation how it will sustain the newly increased salaries for civil servants in the country.
The improved conditions of service and salaries for civil servants under the 2013 collective agreement came to effect on of the 1st of September this year.
Zambian Voice Executive Director Chilufya Tayali notes that his organization is concerned with the way the deficits that have seemed to have characterized the national budget and wonders where the money will come from for government to sustain such salary increments for the civil servants.
Mr. Tayali says people in the country will be more appreciate if the government comes out in the open and explain clearly how it will cover up for the short falls in the budget.
