LUFWANYAMA District council chairperson Boyd Daka has said the area is undergoing tremendous transformation because of developmental projects being undertaken by Government.
Mr Daka said Government was currently implementing a number of infrastructure development projects, which were fast changing the outlook of the district.
Mr Daka said among the infrastructure development projects Government was implementing included the construction of the Kalengwa Road, which was nearing completion and was expected to be handed over by the contractor before this month end.
He said Government had also constructed a district hospital and high school in Lufwanyama.
“Previously, we didn’t have a high school as well as a district hospital in Lufwanyama and so the coming of these two big projects has served as a big relief to the people in the district,” he said.
Mr Daka said people seeking medical attention would previously travel long distances to access medical services.
He said in the area of water and sanitation, Government was installing 15 boreholes at a cost of K165,000.
