KABWATA Member of Parliament (MP), Given Lubinda has said the setting up of Revelation TV station is a big step in the Christian outreach programme which will touch many lives in and outside Zambia.
Mr Lubinda said investing in a television station by a church was not an easy venture and commended the overseer of Tabernacle Mission Revival Centre (TMRC) Apostle Stanford Chifitah for the initiative.
He said this was a good way of reaching out to as many people as possible in spreading the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The MP who was guest of honour at the commemoration of 15 Years of TMRC in Lusaka on Sunday evening encouraged Apostle Chifitah and the congregation to invest more time and resources in the television station to develop the outreach programme which would help grow the general membership of the church locally and internationally.
The celebrations were preceded by a week-long power-packed conference from August 11-18 dubbed: “Triple Grace – Fire for Fire” with special guests Prophet Stephen Osadolor from South Africa and Apostle Rose Kajinga from Botswana.
The soon-to-be commissioned Revelation TV is situated at the church premises off Chilimbulu Road, next to Winners Chapel and is expected to reach as far as Central, Southern and Eastern Provinces and to other countries.
“I have known Apostle Chifitah for many years as a committed and humble servant man of God and my appeal to you as a church is to use this television station to win more souls in the outreach programme because it is said lucky are those that hear the word and blessed are those that respond and live by desires of the Lord,” he said.
Mr Lubinda who was accompanied by three councillors, Maggie Zulu for Chilenje, Derick Chansa for Kabwata and Emmanuel Chanda for Kamulanga, reminded the church on the need for a clean and green environment, saying cleanliness is next to Godliness.
He lamented the uncollected garbage outside the church perimeter and he together with Kamulanga ward councilor, Mr Chansa pledged to work closely with the church to ensure a clean environment by disposing off the garbage.
And Apostle Chifitah, producer of ‘My Story Must Change’ programme on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) said, he was working under instructions from God to preach what God had revealed to him and hence the name Revelation TV.
