ANEKANT Community Centre (ACC) attends to Ndola’s less-privileged

ANEKANT Community Centre (ACC), a United States based non-profit making organisation has screened and undertook surgical operations on more than 120 patients at Ndola Central Hospital.

The organisation has also donated orthopaedics and caesarian section equipment valued at US$60 000.

ACC representative Nitin Shah said a team of nine doctors of orthopaedics and neurosurgery were in Ndola for a medical mission to help the less-privileged with quality medical operations. Dr Shah said the team had also screened about 100 patients with different ailments at the hospital.

“The provision of good health  services is important because health is the best wealth one can ever have”, he said.

Among the equipment donated, was  a  valrum  tray worth $29 000 and other caesarian section tools. Receiving the donation, NCC principal hospital administrator Jacob Chilufya thanked the team for the free medical services and the donation.
