Govt congratulates Feria constituents for electing PF candidate on June 20

Government has congratulated the people of Feira Constituency in Luangwa district for voting for Education Deputy Minister, Patrick Ngoma, in the just ended June 20 Feira by elections.

 

Information and Broadcasting Services Deputy Minister, Mwansa Kapeya, said Government is happy that Feira residents decided to vote for a person who is reliable and a man of substance.

 

Mr Kapeya said Mr Ngoma is a credible person who will spare no effort to work hard to bring the much-needed development in Luangwa district.

 

He assured the people of Luangwa that the Patriotic Front (PF) government will not let them down for having voted for its candidate in the by elections.

 

Mr Kapeya urged the people of Zambia to support and work with the government of the day if meaningful socio-economic development was to take place in the country.

 

The Information Deputy Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to uplift the living conditions of all citizens in the country through the implementation of developmental projects countrywide.

 

Mr Kapeya was speaking in Luangwa district yesterday when he toured the area on a fact finding mission on why the area is experiencing bad television signal.

 

Mr Ngoma emerged victorious in the June 20 by election after defeating four other contestants.

 

The Feira by lection was necessitated by the defection of Mr Ngoma who ditched the Movement for Multi-party Democracy (MMD) to join the ruling PF and re-contested the seat on PF and won.
