Govt. committed to reduce doing business in rural areas

Kasama June 20, 2013-ZANIS- Government says it is committed to reducing the cost of doing business for people in rural areas.

 

 

And Patent and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) board Chairman William Nyirenda said the agency will work hard in complementing Governments effort of reducing the cost of doing business by taking the registration offices closer to people.

 

 

 

ZANIS  reports  that Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Emmanuel Chenda said this in Kasama yesterday when he launched the Patent and Companies Registration Agency regional office.

 

 

 

Mr. Chenda said it is gratifying to find that the Patent and Companies Registration Agency is ready to work with Government to achieve this goal.

 

 

He has since urged the business community especially the small scale Entrepreneurs to take advantage of the presence of PACRA offices in the area to register their businesses.

 

 

The Minister said this is the only way the business community will be able to develop and improve on their standards of living.

 

 

And Patent and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) board Chairman William Nyirenda said the agency will work hard in complementing Governments effort of reducing the cost of doing business by taking the registration offices closer to people.

 

 

Mr. Nyirenda said the agency is looking forward to working with people in the area as Northern Province has the potential to sustain businesses.

 

 

He also urged the business community in the area to file their annual returns as required by law.

Mr. Nyirenda said by doing this, businessmen will be able to expand their businesses as they would not have anything to be afraid of.

 

 

Meanwhile, Northern Province Permanent Secretary Hlobotha Nkunika expressed happiness with the development.

 

 

Mr. Nkunika said businessmen in the area have been finding it difficult to register their businesses as registration was only done in Lusaka.

 

 

He has since assured PACRA of the Provincial administrations support in making sure that they deliver their services to people in the area.
