–Copperbelt Police Commissioner, Mary Tembo, has
warned that no alcohol will be entertained at the Levy Mwanawasa
Stadium during the Zambia/Lesotho game tomorrow.

Ms Tembo has also warned that the police will not tolerate any unruly
behaviour from the soccer fans and called on all soccer-loving Zambians to
corporate with the police.

“Soccer fans risk being arrested if they engage themselves in illicit
activities and what we are appealing to them as the Police is total
cooperation,” she said.

In a telephone interview with ZANIS Sports in Lusaka today, Ms Tembo
also urged motorists to ensure they cooperate with traffic officers
whenever they are designated a parking lot.

Ms Tembo said the police officers have already tightened security at
the stadium ahead of tomorrow’s game and urged all soccer fans not to
worry of any security concerns.

The Copperbelt Police Chief further urged soccer fans to celebrate in
peace in case Zambia wins and urged them to desist from engaging in
celebrations that would breach the public peace.

The Chipolopolo Boys tomorrow take on the Crocodiles of Lesotho in a
Group D Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifying match at Ndola’s Levy
Mwanawasa Stadium.
