FLYWEIGHT boxer Pethias Chisenga will fight Issa Omari of Tanzania for the IBF Africa title.

Exodus Stables promoter Anthony Mwamba confirmed in an interview that Chisenga would fight on the under card of the Joseph Chingangu and Francis ‘galagata’ Zulu IBF
and WBU unification bout.

Mwamba said preparations for the bout were on course and would announce the final arrangements by the end of this week.

He said the boxers were looking forward to the bout and promised to give the boxing fans what they deserved.

“We are making arrangements and we should be giving you more details on Thursday. We also have Pethias who will fight for the IBF flyweight Africa title,” Mwamba said.

Chingangu and Galagata will renew their rivalry having fought each other in the past for the national heavy weight title where the latter dominated the opponent.

But it will be the first time the two boxers will be fighting for an international title which will rekindle memories of Zambia’s boxing greats the late Lottie Mwale and Chisanda Mutti.

Chingangu’s last fight was a win against Elvis Moyo in South Africa while Galagata’s last fought against Rocky Kalenga at the government complex in Lusaka.

The two last met in 2007 for the national heavyweight title.
