Government heads urged to cooperate
Petauke, May 6, ZANIS —— A senior government official in Petauke district has called on all heads of government departments to enhance collaboration in order to ensure sustainability.
Petauke District Commissioner Elijah Mwale said development initiatives in the area will only thrive through good governance, peace and coordination among all key stakeholders.
Mr Mwale was speaking last Friday when he addressed heads of government departments during a meeting which he called to look at weekly performances of the departments in the area.
Mr Mwale said the aim of holding weekly meetings was to help increase confidence in all workers so that they coordinate and supervise their work efficiently.
The District Commissioner noted that the meetings were vital for effective planning of economic development in the area.
He reminded them to prepare and submit their reports to the District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) on time.
