Northern Provincial Minister Obious Chisala has urged district leaders in Mporokoso, Kaputa and Mungwi districts to ensure that the Link Zambia 8000 kilometers road projects are followed up with keen interest.

 

Mr. Chisala encouraged his team during the official opening of Northern Provincial Development Coordinating Committee -PDCC meeting held at Provincial Conference Hall in Kasama yesterday.

He said leaders must monitor road works taking place in their areas.

 

Mr. Chisala cited Kasama-Mporokoso, Kasama-Mbesuma and Mbala-Nakonde roads which are currently under   construction.

 

Mr. Chisala also said once the three roads are completed they will make links easier and would benefit citizens economically and socially.

 

He urged members of the PDCC to work hard in implementing the resolutions of the meeting so as to meet the expectations of the people from the PF Government.

 

Meanwhile, Northern Permanent Secretary Hlobotha Nkunika congratulated Northern Provincial Minister Obious Chisala for his appointment as Minister for the province.

 

Mr. Nkunika welcomed the Minister and appealed to him to continue with projects which the PF government wishes to accomplish to improve the living standards of the people in the province.

 

He called on all members of the PDCC to work with the incoming Minister.

 

Mr. Nkunika also urged members of the press to make known the Link Zambia 8000 and other developmental projects being undertaken in the Province.
