Chief Masinda extols Sata for appointing Njeulu as deputy minister

Chief Masinda of the Kwamashi speaking people of Shangombo district in Western province has praised President Michael Sata for appointing Sinjembela Member of Parliament Poniso Njeulu as Deputy Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services.

Chief Masinda said the appointment of Mr. Njeulu to the position of deputy minister will trigger meaningful development in Shangombo and Sioma districts.

ZANIS reports that the traditional ruler was speaking through his senior Induna Kwandu at Lukama palace in Shangombo at the weekend.

Chief Masinda also commended President Sata for showing strong commitment towards uniting all 72 tribes in the country through the creation of the Ministry of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs.

He said the President is an all inclusive man who wanted to see that all tribes participate in developing the country.

He has since reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with government and Mr. Njeulu, who is a member of the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND), to promote development in the area.

Chief Masinda said for the first time in history, the Kwamashi speaking people have a reason to thank government because of the appointment of Mr. Njeulu who is a Kwamashi by tribe.

He said Mr. Njeulu was a visionary man who was committed to ensuring that meaningful development was recorded in Shangombo and Sioma districts.

Chief Masinda has since called on other traditional leaders in the country to work with the government of the day in fostering development in Zambia.
