—Kasama Mayor, Francis Kombe, says Government is committed to improve the living standards of people living with disabilities.

Mr Kombe said this when he officiated at a DISACARE Data club workshop in Kasama yesterday.

He said Government is fully aware of the fact that people living with disabilities like any other person can also contribute to national development.

Mr Kombe has since commended DISACARE Data club for coming up with an initiative to give people living with disabilities entrepreneurship skills.

The mayor advised the participants to use the knowledge they will acquire to better their living standards.

And DISACARE Data Club project Coordinator, Joseph Mwiiya, said the club has lined up a number of activities to empower people living with disabilities with knowledge in business.

Mr Mwiiya added that the club will also start giving revolving funds to club members as start-up capital for their business ventures.

He further urged participants to share the knowledge they will acquire with other club members as a way of empowering each other in survival skills.
