ACC investigations on ZRA commences

The Anti- Corruption Commission  said they have commenced investigations into reports of alleged corrupt practices and abuse of authority of office against the Chief Executive Officer of Zambia Railways Prof. Clive Chirwa and the dissolved Zambia Railways Board of Directors.

According to a statement released by  ACC public relations manager,  Timothy Moono,  the investigations follows a thorough analysis of the allegations of corruption leveled against Prof. Chirwa by the Zambia Railways Board of Directors , as well as those leveled against the Board of Directors by Prof. Chirwa.

“The Commission also takes cognizance of President Michael Sata’s suspension of Prof. Chirwa from his position as CEO of Zambia Railways, in order to pave way for the smooth conduct of the investigations. The commission would like to assure the government and the general public that thorough investigations will be conducted in the matter,” Moono said
