PF govt. committed to develop sports – Sanjase

Namwala District Administrative officer Godwin Sanjase says President Micheal Sata’s administration  recognizes the importance of sports in the country.

Sanjase says it was for reason that the PF government under the leadership of President Sata is building and renovating many stadiums in most parts of the country.

ZANIS sports reports that the  Namwala District Administrative officer was speaking in Namwala over the weekend.

This was when he officiated at a football tournament held in Baambwe of chief Mukobela’s Chiefdom were 8 community football teams participated  in a tournament.

Sanjase said that the main objective of establishing these sports facilities is to ensure that peoples talents in sports are utilized and developed further for individuals social and economic achievements as well as for the nations.

He further said that if well utilized sports brings, economic and wealth achievements to individuals and the nation as a whole.

Sanjase said that Government is ready to support all sports personal who are prepared to die a little for mother Zambia in sports.

“Government is ready to support all sports men and women who are ready to die a little for mother Zambia in sports, “ he said.

and that the biggest challenge is identifying these sports men and women especially in rural places like Baambwe.

The Namwala District Administrative officer since appealed to Government through ministry of sports to do a talent identification program throughout the country.

The tournament ended on a good note and Namwala Central Soccer team carried the day while Baambwe team were runners up.
