Medical officers warned against ill treating patients

–Patriotic Front (PF) Deputy General Secretary Bridget Atanga has taken a swipe against medical officers who are reported to be ill treating patients in Ngwerere.

Mrs Atanga disclosed that some medical workers in Ngwerere area are known for ill treating patients.

She said some nurses have arrogant attitude toward patients a thing she said should come to an end.

The PF Deputy General Secretary noted that PF government will not hastate to deal with any arrogant nurse.

Instead, Mrs Atanga appealed to medical officers to strive to serve the community professionally.

Meanwhile Mrs Atanga has urged locals in Ngwerere to take advantage of the health services in the area and go for free cervical cancer screening.

She advised the women fork to desist from rushing to witch doctors when they notice a lamp or growth in the breasts.

Mrs Atanga noted that a lot of women have died due to late detection of cervical cancer.

The PF Deputy General Secretary cautioned commercial farmers against denying workers the right to go for cancer screening.

She said this during the rescheduled celebration of the World TB day held in Ngwerere today.

And Chongwe District Medical offer Charles Msiska praised government for improving the conditions of service for medical workers.

Dr Msiska said medical officers have no reason to miss treat patients as there conditions of service have been improved.
