–Siavonga man arrested for impregnating daughter

-A 45 year old man of Siavonga‘s Kanyelele compound has been arrested by a neighborhood watch group for allegedly impregnating his 15 year old daughter.

Benson Mumba a neighborhood officer told ZANIS in an interview today that Bonnewell Hapangwa a builder was last evening arrested around 18; 00hours.

This was after his wife reported to the neighborhood watch group that her husband was having sex with his daughter and she had since got pregnant.

And speaking in an interview  Hapangwa’s wife  Gladys narrated that her husband on unknown dates but early this year allegedly had sexual intercourse with his daughter .

Gladys this happened about five times at different intervals  whenever she went  out in the field to tilt the land.

‘’ I didn’t know that my husband was going out with my daughter. I came to know about their affair when I was told by a neighbor, it’s really embarrassing because I never expected that to happen to my daughter Lister Hapangwa  who is alleged to have a  two month pregnancy  although we have not  taken her to the hospital yet ’’, she said amid sobs .

Meanwhile,  Police in Siavonga have also confirmed the arrest of Hapangwa who is in custody at the local  police station and will appear in court soon.
