Three die in eastern province         

Chipata, March 18,2013, ZANIS…Three people have died in separate  incidents in the eastern province.

Eastern province deputy commissioner of police Alfred Nawa confirmed the development to ZANIS  in Chipata today .

Mr Nawa said a 35 year old man of unknown village died after being hit by a wooden stool after a dispute with anoher man.

Mr Nawa named the deceased as Esau Nkhata  who was allegedly hit by Brian Phiri aged 18 years of Mpatilawa village in Lundazi district.

The deputy commissioner said  the deceased is reported to have sustained head injuries on the left side of his head and his body is lying in Lundazi district hospital awaiting postmortem.

 Mr Nawa also confirmed another incident that occurred over the weekend were Evans Nyendwa aged 20 year of Kalindawalo village of chief kalindawalo in Petauke district committed suicide by hanging himself with  a belt to the burglar bar of his bedroom window.                

He said a 51 year old woman Alice Mwanza of the same village reported the matter  to  police after she found the body of the deceased hanging.

Mr Nawa said the deceased was found dead with his tongue protruding and had no physical injuries on his body which  is lying in Petauke district mortuary.                                                                                                            

 In another incident a juvenile died in a road accident after the vehicle she was in overturned.

Mr Nawa said a juvenile died after the vehicle she was travelling in over turned when the driver lost control due to a tyre burst.

He said the incident happened along the great east road near Ngolowondo village in chief Nzamane’s area as four members of a family were driving from Lusaka to Chipata.

 Mr Nawa said Chilule Daka 37 ,the father to the deceased   was driving a Toyota Redius registration number ALF 973 which was enroute to Chipata from Lusaka lost control after a tyre burst causing the vehicle to over turn.   

He said the body of the juvenile is lying in Chipata general hospital mortuary awaiting burial, while the other three family members  sustained serious injuries and are admitted to the same hospital.
