Government has urged the Department of justice in Western Province to clean up it’s act and irregularities caused by messengers charging the public.

Mr. Mwamba  has tasked the Anti Corruption Commission  (ACC ) and Human Rights Commission ( PHRC ) to investigate the matter and bring to book those found wanting.

ZANIS reports that the Permanent Secretary said this at a two days consultative workshop on the preparation of state party reports under the ICCPR, ICECSR and ICERP held in Mongu yesterday.

He stressed that the dubious works of these messengers are making access to justice hard for the community.

The PS said government is currently building five new courts to speed up the process of justice in the province.

Mr. Mwamba disclosed that the community in Mongu has complained of paying huge sums of money to court messengers for the delivery of court summons.
