The Zambia police has constituted a board of inquiry to determine the facts surrounding the shooting in which a Kabwe police officer shot his neighbour’s wife and later turned the gun on himself.

Police Public Relations Officer Elizabeth Kanjela told ZANIS in a statement that the board will among other things make inquiries to establish breaches regarding regulations on the handling and usage of firearms by police officers as stipulated in the police standing orders manual book.

Earlier, a Kabwe Protective Unite Officer Constable identified only as Mwila shot his neigbour’s wife and later killed himself using the same fire arm.
