Government wants to see more Zambians get enough information on matters of the importance of good nutrition, especially among children, to avoid stunted growth.
Health Deputy Minister, Patrick Chikusu says government has since implored strategies in fighting under- nutrition in children below the age of five across the country.
Dr Chikusu stated that government is working hand- in- hand with the National Food and Nutrition Commission (NFNC) in addressing cases of poor nutrition.
The Health Deputy Minister was speaking to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in an interview today.
He explained that government is committed to educating both the rural and urban Zambians for the country to have vibrant productive citizens.
He has since commended the National Food and Nutrition Commission for its intensified campaigns advocating the need for promotion of good balanced diet among Zambians.
