It’s a romantic grand finale for TYZ!

WITH what looks like an appealing grand finale commercial of Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) for Zambia’s first ever talent search reality show, Talent Yapa Zed (TYZ), uncertainty surrounding the show now seems to be fizzling out.

Though critics would say the show is still hanging imbalance, location challenge, the producers of the reality show say there is no stopover and uncertainty in this last road leading to the grand finale.

TYZ Executive producer Lawrence Thompson, ZNBC, MTN, Radian Stores, Manzi Valley, ZICTA Sign-a-Rama and Abacus 360 have finally announced the date of the grand finale as being February 15, 2013 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre.

Looking at the proposed date which is actually a day after Valentine’s Day, Laurence and his team have created a theme so loud that it logically grabs one interest- Valentines Grand Finale they have called it!

“This show will be taking place during the lover season; producers have decided to dub it as TYZ Valentines Grand Finale!” he says.

The dinner concert will feature RAS Willy, Uncle Rex and the Band who will back the best talent from the show as well as top Zambian artists.

 Besides being entertained the guests at the show will also be entitled to vote for whoever they think is best. On that special night, the guest voting will account for 20 per cent, while the judges will hold a 30 per cent and 50 per cent will be from the SMS.

The votes will be tallied by ABUS 360.

The winner of Talent Yapa Zed has been invited to feature in the regional Africa’s song and dance championships scheduled to take place in June 2013 in Zimbabwe, the contest will feature the winners of South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe and other countries in the region.
