ANOTHER Zambian identified as Mulenga Bwalya has died in Johannesburg, after he was stabbed to death by his South African friend during a drinking spree.

Mr Bwalya aged 35years and holding passport number ZN499905, met his fate in Benoni, Johannesburg in the early hours of Sunday.

Reports indicate that Mulenga was stabbed after the two engaged in a quarrel which resulted in him being stabbed and despite efforts to save him by rushing him to the nearest hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba, yesterday said he was saddened to learn of the death of Mr. Bwalya.

He said his office was following up the case with the Police in Benoni and would ensure that the culprit was arrested and brought to justice.

He said his office would also liaise with Mr Bwalya’s family in Zambia and the Zambia Association in South Africa (ZASA) over the repatriation of his remains to Lusaka.
