The following UNZA students have been suspended for being masterminders of a riot because of power outage.

1. Winner Mwiinde.
2. Richard Malambo.
3. Misheke Kakonde.
4. Muyenga Lufuke.
5. Kerris Habwacha.(Chilepule baby)
6. Ben Muwela. (Ben Black)
7. Paul Mwauluka.

The named students have been told to leave the university and shouldn’t access any of the university facilities.

ZESCO POWER OUTAGE SPARK RIOTS AT UNZA on 10/06/2018

University of Zambia students this evening blocked parts of the Great East Road and stoned motorists in a protest sparked bya 9 minutes power outage.
UNZA students have explained that the they where not happy with the power outage resulting to protests.

“There was a power blackout that lasted about 10 minutes only, but within that times, student mobilized and took to the roadside where they blocked the road and we hear that some motorists were stoned in the process,” said one of the student who sought anonymity.
Millennium Radio crew is within the University of Zambia premises monitoring the situation.
Lusaka Province Commissioner Nelson Phiri could not be reached by broadcast time.
