Lusambo Suspended from Parliament for Slapping Kambwili

The National Assembly has resolved to suspend Lusaka Province minister Bowman Lusambo for having slapped Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili within the precincts of parliament last year.

Delivering ruling on a point of order raised by Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili in October 2017, Matibini said that it was proven that Mr. Lusambo slapped Dr. Kambwili.

Dr. Matibini said that Mr. Lusambo would be suspended from parliament for a period of 30 days and would not be allowed within the precincts of parliament.

He said that Mr. Lusambo behaved dishonorably and showed no remorse for his action.

And the committee on privileges also found Lands Minister Jean Kapata of having poured water on Dr. Kambwili.

Dr. Matibini also said that Ms Kapata had been suspended for seven days for having poured water and hurled insults on Dr. Kambwili.
