Home Affairs Minister Steven Kampyongo has cautioned cyber-criminals, that the Zambia police service will not condone such kind of criminality this year.

And the Home Affairs Minister has further more cautioned corrupt police officers across the country of stern action, saying no one will be protected when involved in corrupt activities.

He says he will not condone lawlessness in the country.

Speaking during the Zambia Police annual ball in Lusaka, Mr. Kampyongo says he expects exemplary behavior from all police officers countrywide.

The minister further stated that he will not condone alcohol abuse in the service as it has been seen to be among major contributors of denting the image of the police service in the country.

Mr. Kampyongo has also stated that in-disciplined police officers will not be transferred to other provinces but will be fired.

Meanwhile the minister has indicated that police will not condone social media abuse.

He has this year promised to look into the plight of officers in the country, through infrastructure development and recruitment of new personnel in the service.

And speaking earlier Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja has challenged officers in the country to uphold levels of discipline amongst themselves.

Mr. Kanganja has also told police officers in the country to desist from partisan politics.

He says police should at all times pledge allegiance to the government of the day, and commander in chief of the armed forces.

He has advised those with political interests to resign and join political parties of their choice or remain professional.

In attendance was Justice Minister Given Lubinda, the Director of Public Prosecutions Lilian Siyuni, Presidential Spokesperson Amos Chanda, Former first Lady Dr. Christine Kaseba and other senior government officials.
