NDC youth leader Charles Kabwita arrested

Police in kitwe have charged National Democratic Congress NDC youth leader Charles Kabwita with conduct likely to cause a breach of public peace.

Police are allegedly following orders from political elements to harass Mr Kabwita.

NDC copper belt chairman Chipoka Mulenga said the NDC strongman comrade Kabwita will appear in court on Monday.

Police have refused to grant Mr Kabwita bail nor allow him have access to medical attention.

Mr. Kabwita was brutality assaulted by pf cadres in full view of four at an eating place.

The Cabinet Ministers that witnessed Kabwita being beaten include: state house Minister Freedom Sikazwe, Steven Kampyongo from Home Affairs and Richard Musukwa from Mines.

Alexander Chiteme the National planning Minister also witnessed the brutality.

And the NDC on the copper belt has condemned the attack on its National youth chairman.

NDC copper belt Chairman Chipoka Mulenga said politics of violence is long gone.

Mr. Mulenga said the violent behavior of pf cadres is barbaric and denting Zambia’s governance record.
