Government urges police officers not to be confrontational when they encounter unruly drivers

Constable Marjory Moyo who was hit by a mini bus on Saturday, has been evacuated to South Africa for specialised Plastic Surgery.

Constable Moyo who departed Kenneth Kaunda International Airport at 13:05 hours aboard South African Airways is accompanied by her mother Mavis and medical personnel.

And Constable Moyo’s father Handson Moyo has thanked government and Levy Mwanawasa General hospital members of staff for the support rendered to her daughter since she was hit by unlicensed minibus driver.

Meanwhile, government has advised Police Officers not to be confrontational whenever they encounter unruly road users.

Ministry Home Affairs Spokesperson Moses Suwali also disclosed that plans are under way to implement modern ways of traffic policing like installation of cameras on strategic roads..
