UPND vice president for Administration Geoffrey Mwamba says President Edgar Lungu signed for his exit by signing into law the constitution bill yesterday.

Mr. Mwamba has told a media briefing in Lusaka today that the Patriotic Front has nowhere to get the 50%+1 vote because the people of Zambia are bitter with them.

He has since appealed to Zambians to vote for the UPND in the August 11th elections.

Mr. Mwamba says this is the only opportunity they have to change things.

And Mr. Mwamba says at no point has he ever thought of going back to the Patriotic Front.

He says he is in very good terms with UPND president Hakainde Hichilema.

Mr. Mwamba says he cannot be so naïve as to go back to a party he says has failed the people and subjected them to suffering.

He adds that even if he is not picked as the running mate he will remain a strong UPND member.

Mr. Mwamba further states that he is also ready to recontest the Kasama central seat.
