The opposition Republican Progressive Party (RPP) has called on President Lungu to make some reshuffles to his cabinet.
RPP Secretary General Leslie Chikuse tells QFM News in a walk-in-interview that there is no doubt that some ministers are not performing well according to the expectations of the people.
Mr. Chikuse says this is the time for the Head of State to make some reshuffles before things turn sour in the country.
He points out that President Lungu should not hesitate to remove Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda from his current position and take him to another ministry that has less pressure.
He adds that the Ministry of Finance requires a vibrant and energetic minister saying the challenges surrounding the country’s economy are intense that need interventions.
Mr. Chikuse says President Lungu should also consider reshuffling Mines Minister Christopher Yaluma saying he has failed to manage the affairs in the mining sector.
Mr. Chikuse says if President Lungu wants the issues in the mining sector resolved as soon as possible, he should consider removing the current minister who he says is not performing accordingly.
