ZAF Twin Palm up in flames

Fire has swept through 2 flats at the Zambia Air Force -ZAF- Twin

Palm residential area, destroying property worth thousands of Kwacha.

A combined team of Fire Brigade from the Lusaka City Council and ZAF struggled for about an hour to put out the fire, which started around 10 hours.
And eye witnesses have told TV 2 news that the fire started from the ceiling board, after an intermittent power supply, which affected the area.

But ZESCO Spokesperson, Henry Kapata says investigations have revealed that the fire was caused by a short-circuit.

Meanwhile, two houses had their roofs blown off from the ZAF Twin Palm, following heavy rains on Sunday.

Officers occupying the two houses have since been moved to
alternative houses.
