The bodies of two boys who drowned in Lake Kariba in Siavonga District yesterday have been retrieved.

Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore has told QFM News via telephone that the bodies of John Saka, 11, and Paulson Chimwase, 12 from Namumu Primary School were retrieved by the community this morning.
He has explained that the boys were in the company of other boys who went swimming at least two kilometers away from the banks of Lake Kariba when they failed to swim back and eventually drowned.
Mr. Kanyama adds that the two deceased boys were from the same family in Chimangala Village.
The Siavonga District Commissioner has praised the Zambia Police Service in the district for providing the necessary equipment to help retrieve the two bodies.
Mr. Kanyama has since appealed to parents not to allow their children to swim in the lake without their supervision.
