THE family of Lusaka lawyer Paul Banda who is alleged to have killed his wife has asked for privacy.
Paul Banda Jr said in an interview in Lusaka on Tuesday members of the public should allow the family to lead a quiet life.
“Please madam, leave us alone, there is no story here. Allow us to deal with our challenges quietly,” he told the author.
University Teaching Hospital (UTH) public relations manager Mwenya Mulenga described the condition of colonel Banda as stable.

Mr Mulenga, however, said UTH is still assessing the patient to ensure that at the time he is discharged, he will be in a good condition.
“He is stable, but just this afternoon, his blood pressure went up. He will remain admitted until doctors are convinced that he is stable,” he said.
And deputy police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said: “We are guarding him. We are waiting for UTH to release him from hospital and that is when we will question him on the allegations,” Mr Hamoonga said.
Col Banda is alleged to have shot his wife dead in unclear circumstances.
