THE only solution to Zambia’s economic problems is to vote the PF out next year, says Masebo.

And Masebo says Zambia is no longer the free country that it used to be.

Addressing UPND supporters at the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court yesterday after she and four others appeared for mention in a case where they are charged with unlawful procession, Masebo, who is Chongwe PF member of parliament, said she was not shaken by the court cases.

“Some of us have been in government, they found us and they will leave us. So I am not worried and I am not intimidated, they can take me to court several times, I am just the same,” she said.

“The PF were taught a lesson in Solwezi West, I’m sure what has happened is what will happen in 2016, maybe even more with this harassment that we are going through. We wish 2016 could come now so that we change government because things are bad and the only solution to Zambia’s economic problems is to vote the PF out.”
Masebo said Zambia was no longer the free country that it used to be.

“People are failing to buy fertilisers now because it’s too expensive. How much is bread now? In the morning, you find it at K10, in the afternoon you find it at K15, the same day in the night, you find it at K20. What type of life is that? When you wake up in the morning, there is no electricity; they (PF) have failed. It is the worst government that Zambia has ever had since 1964. Let’s work hard to bring the change that we need,” said Masebo.

“I think we have suffered enough and they have enjoyed enough.”

And newly elected Solwezi West member of parliament, Teddy Kasonso, said despite being intimidated, he won the elections, adding that the people of Solwezi cannot be bought.

“On the day of voting, the PF slaughtered 20 animals which they distributed to the voters but our people are principled such that they cannot be bought with cheap things like that. There is no other option but to vote PF out, they have to go,” said Kasonso.
