Chief Government spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili has taken a swipe at the opposition UPND for condemning the creation and re-alignment of five new Ministries by President Edgar Lungu.

Mr Kambwili is further disappointed and angered by remarks attributed to the UPND that has accused President Lungu of allegedly running a bloated Government.

Mr Kambwili who is also Information and Broadcasting Services Minister said contrary to the remarks attributed to the opposition party, it is the UPND that is inconsistent and does not seem to have a clear manifesto and agenda for Zambia.

He wonders why the UPND could assert that the PF is running a bloated Government when it is the UPND that supports the creation of Provincial assemblies, appointment of Ministers outside Cabinet and increase in the number of Members of Parliament from the Current 158 to 270.

Mr Kambwili has urged well-meaning Zambians to stop listening to the rantings and assertions of UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema saying the later is inconsistent and does not mean well for the country.

Mr Kambwili said it is shocking and surprising that the UPND could condemn the creation of new Ministries when in essence, it is the UPND manifesto that supports the creation of a number of quasi-institutions .

The Chief Government spokesperson has since urged UPND leaders to thoroughly analyse issues in a mature and impartial manner before making unwarranted comments and attacks.

Mr Kambwili said this in an interview with znbc News in Luanshya.

Meanwhile, Mr Kambwili has castigated the Post News paper for not publishing President Edgar Lungus speech to parliament.

Mr Kambwili is concerned that the Post Newspaper has instead elected to blackout the Presidential address completely without shame.

He is disappointed that the tabloid has instead concentrated on publishing negative comments on the Presidential speech from disgruntled individuals.

Mr Kambwili says it is not strange that the Post Newspaper has failed to publish the Presidential speech because the Newspaper is jealous that the speech has won the accolades of all well-meaning Zambians.

He says the Presidential speech is inspiring as it addressed key issues relevant to Zambia’s development.

The information Minister is urging Zambians to stop reading the Post Newspaper because it has nothing worth writing and is only a divisive tool by a group of frustrated citizens.

Meanwhile, Patriotic Front Media and Publicity Vice Chairperson Sunday Chanda says President Lungu’s speech to parliament reaffirmed the transformational leader that he is.

Mr. Chanda says the speech also reaffirmed that his decisions of today will go a long way in shaping the lives of Zambians for good.

He says the vision to the nation is clear and plain for all to read and understand.

Mr. Chanda added that the vision, however, requires particular frameworks and this includes realigning Government ministries and position them for results.

He has since commended the President for realigning, among other Ministries, the Education Ministry by establishing a dedicated Ministry to Higher Education.

Mr. Chanda said in a statement to ZNBC News that there is no doubt that Universities and Colleges in the Country will maximize the opportunity accorded to them.

Meanwhile Freedom fighters in Luapula province have also praised the Head of State for forfeiting his presidential house in Friday’s speech during the opening of parliament.

The freedom fighters say the move by the president shows that he is a selfishness leader who means well for development of the country.

Speaking on behalf of the group who stormed ZANIS offices in Mansa to express their gratitude, team leader Cyprian Mulonda commended president Lungu for the humanitarian gesture.

And PF Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri has called for peace and reconciliation among all Youths in the Party across the country.

Ms Phiri says it is the only way that they will attract Youths from the opposition parties to join the PF.

Ms Phiri has also cautioned Youths against being used by politicians for political mileage.

Ms Phiri was speaking at the PF Youth peace and reconciliation rally that was held at the freedom statue in Lusaka today in line with President Edgar Lungu’s call for peace in the country in his speech to parliament yesterday.

The Deputy Secretary General told they Youths that President Edgar Lungu on Friday gave a good policy direction for Youths in the country and he needs to be supported.

At the same rally, twenty Youths who had defected to the Rainbow party from PF have now gone back to the party.

The group was led by Moses Makaya and Kanyanta Kasele .

And speaking at the same function, Lusaka Province Youth Chairman Kennedy Kamba appealed   to all PF leadership from all province to work together to foster peace and reconciliation in the province.

Meanwhile, Bishop Edward Chomba has thanked president Edgar Lungu for declaring October 18th, as a day of prayer and fasting .

Those who were present at the rally included, Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa and Kabwata member of Parliament Given Lubinda and the PF leadership in Lusaka.
