President Edgar Lungu has strongly condemned tribal remarks attributed to former Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba that the president denied Kasama residents a Bemba President and Vice President.

Addressing a rally at Kanzinze Stadium in Maamba, President Lungu says the PF believes in politics of unity and managed to rise above difficulties following the death of President Michael Sata.

The President says the same unity will allow the party to win the 2016 general elections.

He has since appealed to people in Southern province to work with the government.

President Lungu has further appealed to youths in the country to participate in national affairs by getting National Registration Cards and registering as voters ahead of the general elections next year.

President Lungu has also urged PF members to accommodate anyone joining the party.

Meanwhile, President Lungu says those who feel government is having difficulties in managing the economy should tell them where they are going wrong and suggest ideas.

  1. @ Conrad, Sydney and Stanley if you were the guys to advise on how to lead the people, what would be your advise? Gentlemen as concerned and mannered citizens we shouldn’t join a fight that is caused by people’s lack of reasoning. Let’s put up statements that will put light on the way we want and would love our young ones to live. Just try to be constructive in your statements. You can still go and cast your vote for that person of your choice without being very negative in every progressive and developmental statements raised for the sake of opposing. Let’s give credit where it’s due. Plenty people read the comments we write and the same comments can either build or destruct the motive behind the statements.
